Lolahemp is a small family owned business which gives us the ability to develop relationships with our customers and learn more about how our product is working in their lives.
Today we here from Sandra Breitenberger hailing from West Shokan, NY. Her senior dog Peppi has benefited from our organic hemp oil after Peppi suffered a few serious injuries:
Peppi is an 18 year old mini poodle who I rescued when he was around 3. He was always active, friendly, and very smart. He learned routines very quickly, and became a constant companion to my husband, (who was a paraplegic and rode in a power wheelchair), my 90 year-old mother who came to live with us, and me, who was always in my car, considering we live 20 miles from the nearest shopping center.
Now it’s just the two of us, but he still has bursts of spunkiness. He has always had regular checkups, and never had any medical issues, except a couple of tooth extractions, before his major injuries, which occurred in 2019.
This past year, Peppi had 2 bad falls, one off an armchair and one from a window seat. He hurt his cervical and lumbar vertebrae (neck and back). He was on muscle relaxants and prednisone and was “wacky” and walking like he was drunk. Prednisone made him ravenous and shaky, muscle relaxants made him very wobbly and disoriented, and he displayed much more dementia after all the meds he was on for his back injuries.
He had some chiropractic treatments, reiki, acupuncture and Chinese herbs. His back and neck eventually got better, and he still took the herbs, but all those pharmaceutical meds changed him. He developed dementia, and still screamed and cried like he was in pain when he rode in the car.
This was so unusual and disturbing for us. His dementia made him agitated and restless. Many times I would find him waking in the middle of the night, wanting to go out. I’d let him out in the fenced in backyard and he’d wander around outside and had a hard time finding his way back to the door. After he’d come in he’d want to eat, as if it were a new day.
He couldn’t settle down in his bed, and would go from room to room until finally he get into his bed, and we could both go back to sleep. Because I’d give him some kibble in the middle of the night, it threw his whole eating schedule off. He wouldn’t eat his breakfast, therefore he wasn’t getting his supplements that he needed.
I tried several calming tinctures, including Rescue Remedy, and calming treats, but nothing helped settle him down. Then we tried Lolahemp. I saw him settle down within a couple of hours of his first and second doses. He slept for awhile, and had a good appetite right away on the first day.
Since we started using Lolahemp, Peppi sleeps through the night, has a good appetite, goes in and out of his dog door without help, runs outside in short bursts, and will ride in the car if I let him up front with me. Although he is still not a good passenger, he is generally more alert and not as disoriented as he had been.
At first I gave him 3 drops of Lolahemp. After an hour, I gave him another 3 drops. It was after that that he settled down to sleep. Since then I give him 6 drops 3 times a day. At his age, I want him resting and staying calm.
Now we both sleep through the night! He also runs more when we’re outside. He’s more regular with eliminating, too! He hadn’t played with anything in a long time. Now he regularly enjoys a marrow bone and often looks for it to play with. He has a great appetite and almost always eats all his food and supplements.
When I went to search for CBD for dogs, I saw that Lolahemp was highly rated and explored the site. The pricing was reasonable and I loved that they donate some of their proceeds to shelters. Customer service is very important to me. Joey and his mom have created an excellent product. Lolahemp is a company I am proud to do business with.
I have already recommended Lolahemp to my dog lover friends. With the Lolahemp Affiliate Program, I can save even more money by earning a small commission on each sale through my unique URL. I will continue to use it and spread the word!
