Today we want to share about one such dog, Olive, a senior pug. We interviewed her owner, Philadelphia resident Lori McCloskey, who currently has six rescue cats and two dogs (one is a rescue). This is what this pet lover had to say about how Lolahemp full spectrum CBD oil helped Olive:
Hi Lori. Thanks for sharing your story about Olive. Can you tell me a little bit about her?
Olive was less than a year old when I got her. She had chronic ear problems since the time she was a puppy. We have had Olive for 13 years. The past year and 1/2 she has been struggling with soreness, stiffness, and redness and itchiness in her ears her whole life with constant vet treatment with cortisone and creams for her skin and ears.
My older dog Athena, a Weimaraner, was prescribed heavy arthritis medication for her condition. I did see some results with these medications but was worried about the side effects. I only agreed to them because she was an old dog and didn’t know of any other options. Unfortunately, she passed on.
Over the past year and a half, Olive has definitely slowed down. She wasn’t going as far on walks. Her legs were wobblier. She didn’t seem as happy and active. She wasn’t as social with guests. She wouldn’t get up and greet people at the door. Olive just wasn’t herself.
She’s 13 going on 14 now. Olive had major surgery to remove her kidney stones so I didn’t want to try similar steroids or pharmaceuticals for her based off the experience I had with Athena and the fact that I did not want Olive’s kidneys to have any more damage. I wanted to go a more holistic route with Olive, but I also needed to see real improvement in her quality of life.
Did you try other natural treatments for Olive?

Her ears are no longer red and irritated. She is doing so much better walking and she is excited to see the leash and go for short walks when weather permits.

Olive weighs 23 pounds and I have been giving her 4 drops twice per day.
Is there anything Olive can enjoy now that she couldn’t before Lolahemp?
She has been getting up more often, which is good to see. She’s also more social and runs to the door when people come over. That alone is worth more than I can put in words.
Before she would only go out into the yard and not much further. Now she goes 2 whole blocks on a walk. She’s got better mobility and more energy. Her eyes seem brighter and she seems so much happier.
