How Princess the Min Pin Benefited from a Holistic Approach

Today we hear from Angela Barrier from Tennessee. Her miniature pinscher named Princess saw a dramatic increase in quality of life thanks to a holistic approach which included Lolahemp's full spectrum hemp oil for dogs.

Princess, our beautiful min pin was born September 20, 2006. She will be 14 on her birthday this year. She was given to me by a friend who had promised me one of her dog’s pups when she had her next litter. We had just moved to Tennessee from Florida when I received the call and pics to choose my new furbaby. Her mom and dad are both black and tan and every litter momma had 1 red pup. I choose that red one. She indeed has been our little princess!

Princess has always loved people. In fact, the owner of the bank in Tennessee paraded her around introducing her to staff and customers the day one of the new branches opened. She was just 7 weeks old and had her red coat with her leopard print faux fur collar on that day. She loves new collars! We call them necklaces and new clothes. I will dress her up and she runs to show Daddy. She also loves riding on momma's motorcycle, in the car, and now in our truck as we deliver goods all over the lower 48 states.

The Trouble Started When Princess Was Just 5 Years Old...

Princess began experiencing back troubles when she was about 5 years old. When the weather changed from warm to cold she would appear to have numbness in her back and legs that would cause her to urinate wherever she was laying. I took her to the vet and there began yearly shots of steroids in her back.

Once we began driving a truck we kept what I called her doggie oxyies for emergencies only. It was 59 mg pills of Tramadol, 1/2 pill as needed. These worked until our truck broke down in Dallas, Texas and the proprietor of the establishment where we were having the truck fixed refused to let us in the building with the dogs. We sat outside for 5 hours in 115 degree weather.

As much as I ran water from a hose over her and tried to get her to drink, it still caused dehydration. She had seizures all night and I really thought I was going to lose her. We got her home to our vet and she ended up on IV's for being severely dehydrated. This in turn caused additional nerve damage.

Traditional Medications Had Serious Side Effects...

After several days of tests the vet informed me she would be on one shot of Adequan a month and a pill called Galliprant which helps control pain and inflammation for the rest of her life. After about a year of continued use of these 2 drugs, I noticed some differences in her behavior. She became lethargic, somewhat snappy, and appeared to be losing her hearing and possibly her sight. I can't clinically attribute those to the meds as she is a senior dog, but she had never displayed any aggressive behavior towards humans before.

Around that time she also became very stiff in her neck and we began to up the Galliprant to see if it would loosen her muscles. As we were on the road I could not get her an appointment with a vet. I began researching cbd and hemp oil for dogs. Long story short, I came across an article about a university study on hemp oil for pets. The highest recommended site to purchase this was Lolahemp. I decided to give them a try.

Enter Lolahemp...

I ordered a small bottle as Princess is just 13 pounds. We had home time for a planned vacation and my son was watching our girls. Our oil was waiting when we arrived home. I had stopped the other meds as I was unsure of the interaction of them all together and I wanted to see if there would be any significant results with the hemp oil. We arrived home on a Wednesday and began the 3-4 drops twice a day immediately.

At that time Princess was hardly able to walk and we would have to carry her to go potty.  I instructed our son on how to care for her and give her the oil. We flew out to California on Friday the 13th and by Sunday when I spoke to my son she was walking AND going to the bathroom on her own. I was so excited I nearly cried.

After arriving home from our vacation, it was like having a younger dog again. Her and her sister (Tessa, our Chihuahua) would run and chase each other all over.

I am extremely happy with the results of Lolahemp oil I recommend it to people ALL the time. If I had cards I would pass them out as, like I said at the beginning, we travel the lower 48 states and meet so many people on the road.

Thank you for the product you have created, Lolahemp! I believe it has given us many more years with our beautiful Princess.
