Maddie was struggling with severe anxiousness from a series of major life changes that had become debilitating before finding Lolahemp. Her owner Stacey Goslin from Moorpark, CA shares her story:
Maddie is a Labrador and Pointer mix we adopted from a local rescue almost 5 years ago. At the time she joined our family, our sons were in high school. We were an active family with a lively household. Our home was always hustling and bustling…we entertained constantly and since Maddie loves people, she was happy and always very active.
Since then our youngest son left for the United States Naval Academy, our oldest son left for the Army, and my husband and I sold our home and are living in a condo as empty nesters…preparing to move to a new home out of state. All of the lifestyle changes caused Maddie to become less active and become much more nervous and upset, particularly when we left her alone. The decrease in physical activity (no more large yard, pool, or kids at home) seemed to cause her hips to be stiff after every walk as well.
Every time my husband and I would prepare to leave the house, or if they boys came home on leave and were packing their bags to return to the military, Maddie would get upset…panting, pacing and not leaving our sides. In addition, she became hypersensitive to noises in general. If the wind would howl, a door would slam, or we would cheer loudly while watching a football game on t.v., she would quiver uncontrollably, cower, and run and hide in a closet.
About six weeks ago it got even worse! Maddie started leaping onto us while we were sleeping at night. It was like something was spooking her or she was scared to death. We couldn’t figure it out. We now think it is just because we have been traveling on and off and she was so scared we were going to get up for those early morning flights and leave with our suitcases while she was sleeping.
Watching Maddie suffer was TORTURE for us.
We knew it was time to try something new. I first bought some peanut butter treats which were supposed to calm dogs. While she loved the treats, they did not work. I started researching other products and found Lolahemp CBD Oil. While it sounded great, my first thought was that I will probably spend the money and Maddie won’t take it. I spoke with Joey at Lolahemp on the phone. He assured me that there is no taste and administering it is easy. So, I ordered it.
Within one day we noticed a huge difference! Maddie was more relaxed and happy! She was back to bringing us her toys and balls all day long. She was sleeping well at night and not reacting to loud noises like she had prior. I was shocked when I went to vacuum at day three of using Lolahemp and Maddie did not leave the room or go hide in the closet! It was so heartwarming to NOT see her traumatized over something so normal.
I also noticed that she started sleeping in different positions than she was before Lolahemp. We have since realized that she was sitting and lying in specific limited positions because her hips and back were hurting. She now sleeps in all kinds of new positions…like when she was a puppy.
We are THRILLED with the results and do not have any plans of trying any other products. We have found what works and are sticking to it. I feel so happy for Maddie…and I no longer feel helpless. Thanks Lolahemp!
