Lolahemp’s oil is best used sublingually (under the tongue) or directly onto the inner cheek of your dog. Our bottles come with pre-labelled droppers, so it’s very easy to give your dog the appropriate twice-daily dosage.
Give your dog one dosage in the morning, and one dosage at night. You can also choose to give your dog Lolahemp however it fits into your schedule – the important thing is to give their dosage twice daily.
You can also give your dog CBD oil in advance of events that might be stressful. Aim to give them a dosage 1 hour before a storm, period of separation, car travel, or whatever situation causes them anxiety.
No. Our full-spectrum hemp oil contains only trace amounts of THC and is non-intoxicating. The primary compound in our oil, CBD, is not psychoactive and will not make your dog "high".
Of the thousands of dogs who have used our oil, very few have experienced negative side effects. Occasionally, dogs will have digestive upset from the coconut carrier oil used in our product, and this can lead to runny stool. Digestive upset is very uncommon, however, and most dogs tolerate Lolahemp CBD oil extremely well.
If you give your dog a much larger dose than is recommended, you may also notice that your dog is a little sleepy or drowsy. If this happens, the effects will wear off in the next few hours.
You may notice some calming benefits in your dog anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour after you give your dog CBD oil. These effects can last anywhere from 4-8 hours, and you may notice a reduction in stress-related behaviors.
For hip & joint issues, it can take a week or two for CBD levels to build in your dog’s system and have a noticeable impact.
CBD can influence the liver enzymes responsible for metabolizing other drugs in some cases. Specifically, CBD can inhibit cytochrome p450 enzymes which are involved in breaking down common medications.
